Everyone likes to work in different environments. Find the right place for you to study.

Quiet zones

Levels 1, 2 and 3 are designated as quiet areas. You can work together and talk quietly in these areas of the Library.

Silent zones

Level 4 of the Library has been designated a silent study zone where you are able to work individually without any interruption. Library staff monitor this floor to make sure the regulations are observed.

Laptop zones

Bring in your own laptop to use or borrow a laptop from the Support Enquiry Zone (SEZ).

Group study rooms

If you need to work together as a group on a project these study rooms are perfect for practising your presentation skills. They can be booked in advance for groups of 3-10 students.

Time out area

Chat to your friends, get a snack or drink and make calls on your mobile phone.

Software on Library computers

PCs in Library IT Cluster 3 have specialist software installed on the machines, similar to that on PCs in Whitespace. For a complete list of software in Cluster 3, and in rooms around campus, please see Student Software List 2017-18
