Dundee City Libraries The Central Library takes several local and national newspapers. Electronic newspapers tend not to include photographs and other graphical information, so it may be necessary to consult the originals. Local newspapers are kept permanently.
Many images and other multimedia on the internet are protected by copyright. This means that you cannot just download and use them in a poster or presentation without checking for any restrictions. If you have any questions about copyright, please contact your Academic Librarian. There are some useful online tutorials which will help you understand more about copyright and how to find and use images legally. Copyright User is also a useful online resource aimed at informing everyone who uses copyright about how to protect their work, how to license and exploit it, and how to legally re-use the work of others.
