How long at "Bell Street" - nearly 40 years! May 1969 until September 1981 (when I went off on maternity leave). I then left at the end December 1981 only to return in February 1984 and stayed until I retired at the end October 2010.

At the time, the "safety" of working in the education sector.

In your opinion how has the University changed over the years?

Probably the loss of the feeling of being part of a small caring family.

What would you say was biggest improvement/change? What one thing do you miss the most?

I miss the camaraderie. So many beautiful colleagues over the years!

What are your memories of the campaign for university title and, eventually, confirmation of University status in 1994?

I remember lots of hard work by academic staff. In particular, the work of Colin Fraser as the then Course Leader of the BSc Science course run from the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences.

Who has been your favourite or most memorable colleague?

There were a few...the former Principal Dr Harry Cuming; Professor Ian Colligan; Dr Colin Fraser; Mr John Black; and Professor Nicholas Terry.

Proudest moment?

My long service dinners and meeting various Honorary Graduands.

What is it about the institution that made you stay?

I simply loved my various jobs and working at UAD in general!
