Covid-19 Research

Many publishers have created dedicated COVID-19 toolkits and resource centres as well as making published research freely accessible.

• American Physiological Society Coronavirus Related Collection - The APS are making articles discussing COVID-19, coronavirus, SARS, and other related research freely accessible in this cross-journal collection.
• American Psychological Association (APA) have curated a collection of freely-available journal articles on the psychological impact of the pandemic.  They have also created a continually updated pandemic resource  available for both clinicians and the general public.  
• BioOne In collaboration with the Association of Research Libraries, BioOne and their publishers have made articles related to coronavirus available via open access until the end of 2020. 
• BMJ COVID-19 Hub draws on the latest peer reviewed research, news and opinion from The BMJ and BMJ’s 70 + specialist journals. It also provides online CPD from BMJ Learning and guidance on the evidence-based management of covid-19 from BMJ Best Practice.
• British Standards Institute have selected the most relevant standards to meet the immediate challenges faced by Government and UK business, and have opened access to these standards during this time of emergency. Areas include hygiene and PPE.  Note: you will need to complete a form providing personal information such as your name and email address in order to access the standards.
• Cambridge Core Coronavirus Free Access Collection  Cambridge have made a collection of more than 150 relevant book chapters and journal articles freely available on Cambridge Core. Journals include: Epidemiology & Infection, Prehospital and Disaster Medicine, Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology, and more.
• Clarivate Analytics have launched a global resource site to help medical researchers and healthcare professionals access the world's leading research and late-breaking news around the coronavirus.
• Cochrane COVID-19 Resources and News - Cochrane provides high-quality, relevant, and up-to-date synthesized research evidence to inform health decisions. This page highlights content relating to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the various related activities that Cochrane is undertaking in response.
• COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19)  A free, open resource for the global research community.  In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Allen Institute for AI has partnered with leading research groups to prepare and distribute CORD-19, a free resource of over 44,000 scholarly articles (including over 29,000 with full text) about COVID-19 and the coronavirus family of viruses for use by the global research community.
• Dimensions All COVID-19 content (research papers, data sets and clinical trials) on the Dimensions platform.
• Emerald have made research on COVID-19, the management of epidemics and pandemics, and supply chain management freely available to everyone.  They have also made this available with full-text and data mining rights to PubMed Central.
• Elsevier's Novel Coronavirus Information Centre  Elsevier have collated free health and medical research on COVID-19.  Under the 'Research' tab you will find latest early-stage and peer-reviewed research on COVID-19 from journals such as the Lancet and Cell Press.  They have also made around 20,000 related articles freely accessible on ScienceDirect
• Gale have created a COVID-19 hub site which contains open access resources about the virus, professional development ebooks, training webinars and a message board.
• JAMA Network Coronavirus Resource Centre provides freely available information on epidemiology, patient information, plus official WHO guidance.
• Karger Topic Article Package - COVID-19.  All articles relating to coronavirus are freely available until the end of 2020.
• MAG Online Library have made all articles on the current coronavirus outbreak from their MA Healthcare journals freely available.
• Mary Ann Leibert have made their journal articles relating to COVID-19 freely available.
• Nature Coronavirus Collection  To support urgent research to combat the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the editorial teams at Nature Research have curated a collection of relevant articles. The collection includes research into the basic biology of coronavirus infection, its detection, treatment and evolution, research into the epidemiology of emerging viral diseases, and our coverage of current events. The articles will remain free to access for as long as the outbreak remains a public health emergency of international concern
• OVID's COVID-19 Toolkit for Clinicians COVID-19 resources for frontline clinicians and medical researchers have been made freely available in response to the global pandemic.
• Oxford University Press Journals OUP has made content from online resources and leading journals freely available to assist researchers, medical professionals and others who are working to address this health crisis.  
• RCNi have created a freely available COVID-19 resource centre for nurses and healthcare professionals.  You can access the Library subscription of Nursing Standard here.
• SpringerLink (Springer Nature) Springer have made all research articles on COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 from their journals as well as additional commentary on this topic and relevant books freely available.
• Statista have produced freely available dossiers and content related to COVID-19 including country information, economic impact and infographics. 
• Taylor & Francis Reading List in response to this global health issue, Taylor & Francis have made all COVID-19 and coronavirus related, peer-reviewed research published in T&F journals freely accessible to everyone.
• The Royal Society COVID-19 Research Findings  To support the research community, the Royal Society journals are making all research findings and data relevant to the covid-19 pandemic immediately open access.
• Wiley COVID-19 Free to Access Content  Wiley are making relevant research articles, book chapters and entries in major references freely available.  Please note there is a short delay in between articles being listed on the site and them being made available open access (this is usually 24 hours but can be longer over the weekends)
• Wolters Kluwer have opened access to a COVID-19 resources and tools hub gving vital information to clinicians and nurses.
