Studying is often challenging, and we all get ‘stuck’ sometimes. How you work through these challenges and overcome being ‘stuck’ is an essential part of learning; it’s important to remember that asking for help allows for the possibility of fresh ideas and perhaps a new perspective, and we, therefore, encourage you to seek support whenever you feel you need it.

We understand that you might have lots of commitments outside of Abertay, or maybe you’re someone who works better late at night, so we've tried to provide support options that fit in with your way of studying.

So, in addition to the services available 9-5 (Monday to Friday) via our in-house StudySkills team, the University has also subscribed to Studiosity, an on-demand, anytime, anywhere service that you can access ten times within an academic year, 24*7, 365 days a year via MyLearningSpace and/or an app. If you need help understanding a concept or working through a problem at the weekend, in the evening, or while on the move, Studiosity is here to help.

There are two main services, called 'Writing Feedback' and 'Connect Live'.

Interactions

Remember you have 10 interactions per academic year, across the two services.

Examples of interactions:

  • Asking a quick question on Connect Live about a reference
  • Submitting a draft report through Writing Feedback
  • Requesting help understanding a formula on Connect Live

Use your 10 interactions well.
